ArgyleImp’s Guide to Faux Glitter Fabric

First, know the facts!

Faux glitter fabric isn’t real glitter. It’s the bling-joy look printed on the fabric of your choice—without the little plastic bits.

ArgyleImp (that’s me!) has, (SANS robots and SANS artificial intelligence), created every obsessive detail in over 300 different colors and styles of faux glitter and made them for sale on Spoonflower !

How could I not? They’re so pretty!

o.m.g. All the details to love!

Like all sorts of faux sparkley bits, layering, and an attention to detail.

(Like, seriously, I just love designing faux glitter. I may need to see someone about this.)

Here are pictures. Of real fabric. With my designs.

Each design has a GIANT repeat…

You have to look very hard to find where the pattern starts over again.

Look for my name to get that giant repeat you love.

ArgyleImp’s faux glitter has a HUGE 24″ x 60″ repeat!

So now you are tempted. You want the faux glitter. ALL the faux glitter.

Here are some tips:

You want happy: Be smart. Swatch.

You want happy. I want you to be happy.

Heads up: Designs print different on different fabrics

Pretty in different ways!

Shinier fabrics catch the light. Natural fabrics, such as cotton, may print more muted and don’t catch the light.

Satin = shiny, crisper print

Cotton = not shiny, less crisp print

There are tons of other fabrics available, too. Each will print faux glitter differently, depending on the courseness of the fabric, the thread count, and the structural make-up of the fabric. This is why I recommend swatching! Be happy. Swatch!

Colors can vary from what you see on your device, and can vary from fabric type to fabric type.

Light and medium colors on cotton are more true to what you see on your screen.

Dark colors can appear muted when printed on cotton and other natural fabrics.

This is why I always recommend swatching before purchasing in large quantities.

You are now wise: Be smart. Swatch.

(Or don’t. Lots of people don’t swatch and come back and buy more.)

Shameless show-off spot:

Here are pillows I made with my faux glitter.

Even after many washings (like 4 years!), they still pep up the sick bed!
